Expecting Baby Dennie #2 Today

6:39 p.m. - Anderson Neal is born weighing 7 pounds and 15 ounces. He is 20.5 ounces long and lots of dark hair.

6:28 p.m. - A quick phone call to Pops and family in the waiting room to let them know things were going well and we should have a baby soon. Along with the Brocks, the Dennies, Rocketts, Jason and Reagan were waiting to hear the news and whether it would be a boy or girl.

5:10 p.m. - Dr. Phillips just came by and said it's about time to start pushing. The nurse is getting everything ready and Tara should be pushing in the next few minutes.

4:46 p.m. - Nurse Dorothy just checked in on Tara. She is now a 9 1/2 so we are getting close!

4:40 p.m. - Okay, now Tara is hoping for a delivery by 6:00. Nurses are checking in a little more often but no pushing yet.

4:00 p.m. - Still waiting....Tara is on the phone with Stephanie. Pops has gone to pick up Reagan from Gwen. Grannymom and Nonna are in the waiting room anxiously waiting!

3:25 p.m. - The nurse just stopped into check. She said Tara is doing excellent and is at an 8. The magic # to start pushing is 10. Earlier, the Brocks, Grannymom, Dana & Cash stopped by for a quick visit. We're getting closer -- still shooting for a baby before 5:00. We'll see...

2:15 p.m. - They just completed the epidural process so Tara said she is feeling great (well, as great as you can be with a baby in your stomach!). I stepped out while they were doing the epidural but we'll be here for the delivery. While I was in the waiting room, the Brocks arrived and Grannymom as well.

12:50 p.m. - Dr. Phillips just stopped by to check Tara again. He said all was progressing well. His guess was we should have a baby between 4:00 and 5:00. Our nurse was at lunch when he stopped in but said they would get the epidural going when she got back. Tara said she was tough but on the pain scale she is going longer without the epidural than last time.

12:30 p.m. - Nothing much is going on around here. Robby ate my lunch and has snacked on some doughnuts-I had ice chips! Our nurse went to lunch and when she gets back, I plan on asking for my epidural (that will give us something else to do). It is quite boring around here. Jason stopped by again while he was at lunch and Stephanie called to check in on us. Dr. Phillips will stop by after lunch sometime as well.

11:25 a.m. - Biggest news this hour: Tara just asked for ice chips -- not because she needed them rather for something to do. Amber called to check on us and Les sent an e-mail. The Brocks reported that Reagan is doing good -- just wanting to sit all the time. This is her favorite thing to do lately - sit.

10:20 a.m. - No real news....we're just waiting. They have increased the potossin but Tara still isn't feeling any major contractions yet. The nurse said they would try to hold off on the epidural until they get a regular interval of contractions.

9:30 a.m. - The nurse (Dorothy) just changed out the IV and said things were still looking good. We couldn't pin her down for a projected delivery but she said perhaps afternoon. No epidural yet but they said they could be here quick with it. Grannymom & Grandpa (Dennies) stopped by a little earlier to check on us.

8:30 a.m. - Things are moving along...Dr. Phillips was just by to check on Tara. He said everything was looking good. He went ahead and broke Tara's water and said she could get an epidural whenever she is ready. No estimation on delivery time at this point. A little before Dr. Phillips stopped by, Dana checked in on us and Jason just called to say he was on his way.

7:10 a.m. - Tara is all checked in and now we are waiting. Her room was ready when we arrived at 6:05. Aundrea, our 1st nurse, did the customary paperwork and got an IV started. Doyle Moore was our first visitor at 6:45 followed by Dr. Bruce at 7:10. I think it is shift change time so we are waiting for the new nurse to arrive and start the potossin. Tara is feeling great and ready for Baby #2. Baptist actually has wireless so perhaps we can update fairly often.

5:25 a.m. - We're getting ready to head to the hospital. Well, we will be after I get my shower. Tara is already up and going. We have 20 minutes to be at the hospital so I better get a move on it. We'll be at Baptist today for the delivery! We'll try to update the blog when we can. -- Robby

Your Acxiom friends are watching, too. We are excited to find out whether it's a boy or girl. And we can't wait to find out the name!
